B. Gail Demko, DMD is certified by the American Board of Dental Sleep Apnea and is the expert advisor to the Federal Drug Administration in the field of oral device therapy for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. After an 18 year relationship with the Beth Israel (Deaconess Medical Center) Sleep Center, Dr Demko left her general dental practice at Beth Israel in 1997 and restricted her practice to the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. She is President-elect of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (2012-2013) and is also on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Demko's office recently received accreditation from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine -- one of only four in the country and the first in New England to receive this coveted accreditation. Dr. Demko has recently been elected to the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Sleep Society. Dr. Demko has an extensive resume that includes lecturing, consulting, teaching, editing and publishing widely in her field of specialty. As she has been since early in her career, Dr. Demko is a much-desired lecturer on obstructive sleep apnea and its treatment and devices. Fred Harrington, DMD, is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Massachusetts Sleep Society, American Dental Association, American Dental Educators Association and received his D.M.D. from Harvard University of Dental Medicine. Dr. Harrington, along with joining Dr. Demko in her practice of sleep apnea, fulfills his position as Assistant Clinical Professor in General Dentistry at Boston University.
